[   ] FEARFUL IN PRAISES.
Press'd, my soul, with future prospect;
Sing Creation's dismal end;
Long foretold by sacred prophets,
Holy muse thy succours lend.
. . . [24 lines]
Hark! the martial trumpet sounding,
Rends in twain the crystal sky;
. . . [22 lines]
Rous'd from tombs each wicked rises,
By the trumpet's thrilling sound;
. . . [20 lines]
Hell groan'd, --and heav'n ascended with a song,
And the eternal ages roll along.
